Chainmaille – f. Inguz Art

I decided to hide away for the night and make shiny. Or… try at least. Some went well, some… not so much. Got a few new pieces finished up thou…

Those are the ones I’m pleased with. Played with pearls and one of my new Ametrine briolettes. I’m so in love with those new crystals.

Most of the night was spent remembering how hard that Half Persian 4 in 1 was. Once I got cruisin on that bracelet, it was easy peasy. I’d forgotten that it took 3 days to get it started right.

Now I remember.

I tried to make another chain of that tonight. A friend of my fell in love with the bracelet and almost ran off with it before I got it shipped out. He asked me to turn it into a tie chain for him so…I ordered smaller rings and thought I’d give it a go. Those just came in and he brought me one of his ties so I thought I’d see how that went.

It’s not done yet, but so far…

That’d be it. I’m not sure I’m in love with it. It looked better in my head. I’m not done with it yet, so maybe it’s too early to tell. Dunno. I may need to see if it’s possible to go smaller with it. Not sure it’s doable thou. Maybe a 3 in 1 would work better. I think a 3 in 1 can be made smaller than a 4 in 1.

*shrugs* hard to say.

I figure worse case, I’ll make this one a bracelet. I loved the other one, but it was too wide for my wrists. This one would be perfect for me.

I kinda like that plan. That is my favorite weave so far and, well, I need a bracelet. 😀

Anyhoo, not a bad haul for an evening. I am pleased.

It’s been a chainmaille week this week. 2 new weaves, 3 new bracelets.

W00T!

This latest one I finished last night just has me all kinds of proud of myself. It’s called the Half Persian 4 in 1. They say it’s one of the most difficult patterns. Go me. \o/

I played around with the Half Persian 3 in 1 last week… I think. That’s a nice one too, but I used the wrong size rings, so it doesn’t hold the pattern right. Darn it anyway. That’s ok thou. It was good practice to get the hang of this Persian weave.

The 4 in 1… yeah. That was a challenge for sure. But I love it. It make a lovely, elegant chain.
